Premiership Rugby Limited have today announced order of fixtures in the new season, with just two rounds of the current season still to play plus the knockout stages. The Gallagher Premiership semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of June 19 and Final a week later.

The Exiles’ home opener brings the curtain down on Round 2, the first match being on Friday 27 November as Sale Sharks make their only trip north of the season, taking on Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park. The two sides will meet on Friday 20 November at the Twickenham Stoop in front of BT Sport cameras, the first game of a campaign that will end with the Grand Final on Saturday 26 June.

The 2020/21 season will also feature a Premiership Rugby Cup as a midweek competition, starting after the Six Nations. The competition will be tough from the outset, with Bath Rugby opening their campaign at the Rec against newcomers Newcastle Falcons on Saturday 21st November before travelling away to Exeter Chiefs in Round Two on Saturday 28th November. Two rounds of European competition follow before a Boxing Day trip to promoted Newcastle Falcons, a New Year fixture at home to Bath Rugby on Sunday, January 3 and then opening derby of the season, away to Northampton on January 9. Rather optimistically, it seems the schedule has not been set with restrictions on crowds at stadiums like we have seen since the restart of rugby in August, in mind with no apparent plans to show every game live as has been the case since Round 14 of the current season.
