I was helped rite away and feltvery comfortable here. A solid, clean, well-organized library with all the features and programs that you would expect of a diverse Bay Area community.

Tops all the way around! I spent many hours here in high school (and currently, some in college) finding critical books and research material that I couldn't find in other places I searched.

Government documents and public records have their own large section, as well as volumes of research books that are viewable but not available to check out. Before entering the library, there is a gift shop and cafe on the right side of the entrance area. This library is still fun to visit. Before that, I spent countless hours studying for the CBEST and CSET examinations. This place provides a quiet, safe environment for me to take care of my business. Securely drop off your mail-in ballot. Also, my bf had owed money for an over due book which he paid, only to come back the next time and be told we didn't and the charges were still on the account. The most recent Alameda County Health Officer Order allows libraries to reopen at less than 25% capacity on October 9, 2020. Sometimes I need a little encouragement to reach my 50+ books a year. Plus what is the fun of rereading a mystery when you already know whodunit! This library has 2 floors. They charge you .25/cd or book and $1/dvd per day that you are late. San Leandro, CA 94578, 384 West Estudillo Avenue Where I am from, we can check out books for a month and DVD for two weeks.

I don't like that they don't have that many engineering books. When your house is too loud or cramped, the Main Library is an excellent place to get some room and silence. Of course there's the magazine & newspaper area as well as all the books and enough space to do some studying!! I am a recent new resident to San Leandro and becoming a library member was one of the first things I did. The selection of books is outstanding, and frankly, mind boggling.

The problem is I'm trying study and these damn kids inside the library yelling loud and using foul language in every sentence. I just love coming here for the programs and community! This is a huge library and it has it all.

- Also, if you're under 18 - please have your parent/guardian WITH you OR if you're a student, I believe you could show your school ID (i.e. Even before the remodel years ago, this was the place to be. Unfortunately, due to city cuts, the room is only open on particular days, so viewing is limited. There are two levels with every type of book, dvd and magazine you can imagine. Even our corporate libraries are downsizing and moving online these days. The San Leandro Library is gorgeous and superb in terms of amenities. The Manor Branch at 1241 Manor Blvd. The Manor branch lacks a barrier for the kids' turf, and the wailing always drives me insane when I'm reading the financial news. The Internet speed on the public computers is slooooooooooooooow! I want to get back into reading, that's also been too long. Very nice library! ), and there's even a small cafe you can go to grab a snack or a beverage. There's a kid section downstairs where a little bit more noise is allowed, a computer lab for those without their own computers or laptops, an upper level that is extremely quite (I can study there for days! 5 stars everytime for me.. great kids programs.. Great front desk staff.. Summer Reading Program 2020 - Dig Deeper: Read, Investigate, Discover!

San Leandro's main public library is one of the city's major centers of community life. The City of San Leandro 835 East 14th Street San Leandro, CA 94577. What I like is said they have computers that you can use for up to 90 minutes a day if you have a library card and you can also print 10 pages for free per day. What I don't like is that the staff can get rude and hostile when it comes to closing time and how they aggressively shoe everyone out at 7:59 PM, even though the library closes at 8 PM, as if we're a bunch of intruders.I also returned books 2 different times that the Library claims were lost and tried to charge me for the entire cost of a replacement book even though I did return it and eventually they did find it after multiple attempts but the fact that this happened not just once but twice and I had my library card suspended as a result of that is just ridiculous.Overall though it is a pretty good place as far as Library's go and they haven't done anything that would make me not want to go there back ever again, I understand that people are people and mistakes happen but still. I remember when my mom and I would try to get a card some sneaky way because this place is open on Sunday! - This has to be done every three years and you need to bring your ID and proof of your residency (as a San Leandro resident). Washington Manor is the newest of San Leandro's public libraries, dedicated in 2006.

I consider myself a bookworm, only these days I tend to use Amazon Kindle for all my reading needs. As I'm writing this, I honestly don't even know where to begin. Generally for most books you have two weeks before you have to return them, CD's and movies for three days, and shorter times for new releases in both books and media. Click here for all the details.
